This is a really old variety and I thought it had become a poor flowerer, but because it has an exceptional flower - Strawberry pink with a large white eye and so frilly it looks like a double - I continued to grow it. Recently I put an old plant outside for the summer and what a revelation! It grew well and flowered all season long. It was obviously intended for this instead of being mollycoddled.

Plants are supplied in a 6cm biodegradable pot. There is no need to remove this pot as roots will grow thorough it and the pot, which is made of fibre, will degrade harmlessly into the compost.
