Large grey green soft downy leaves. Lovely peppermint scent. Masses of small, white flowers. I grow this in my own garden every year in two very large containers or rather, it grows itself!
Introduced in 1790 by Masson.
Natural habitat includes mountainous areas and forest edges in South Western Cape Province.
Plants are supplied in a 6cm biodegradable pot. There is no need to remove this pot as roots will grow thorough it and the pot, which is made of fibre, will degrade harmlessly into the compost.

I love this plant and take cuttings myself but find it quite difficult to make it grow evenly all round. My plant from Fibrex was a very good shape and continues to grow and thrive
Its going to be a while before I can plant Tomentosum out but these are lovely little plants, delicious scent and grow enormously well and bushy. If you dont order early I know they sell out!
